The first Quinssa event we can announce this season is an evening with the new Quins management - David Morgan (new Chairman and former interim CEO) and David Ellis (new CEO).

The first Quinssa event we can announce this season is an evening with the new Quins management - David Morgan (new Chairman and former interim CEO) and David Ellis (new CEO).
This will be the chance to have your questions answered directly by the management in the post Evans period.
The evening will be in the Jester Suite (Debenture Bar) at 7pm on Thursday 20 October with doors opening at 7pm. As usual there will be a cash bar and we will have a raffle in aid of the Quinssa Academy Fund.
So we have an idea of numbers please e-mail prof@quinssa.org.uk to register your interest in coming

I'd love to come, but these things always seem to coincide with my holidays...

I had to go back to the article to remind myself who David Ellis is, so I guess that explains the need for the meet the management evening!

Can someone confirm what time this evening's event actually starts?
The last Quinssa circular said doors open 7pm, meeting starts 8pm.

So, how was it?

I thought it was a great evening, we had 80+ people there, there were lots of questions answered, we raised nearly £400 for the Quinssa Academy Fund, the hand pulled IPA was very tasty, and hopefully everyone enjoyed it - I know I did
It was good. Prof was scribbling like frantic, so unless Alex had given him a colouring book to keep him quiet, I guess there's a report coming.
As far as I could see it's full steam ahead with the Mark Evans approach, but tidying up the Stoop a bit along the way.

Overall positive I thought.
It was nice to see a commitment to 'upgrading the Stoop', but I do wonder for what purpose. We already have the best ground, the best food and beer of the premiership. What revenue generating improvements can be made for a rugby crowd I ask myself? Of course if your target customers are not rugby supporters, but the wider community, it makes good sense. I don't mind, we will all benefit, whatever the motive.
Where we will not benefit is the TV lead destruction of the Saturday game. Friday and Sunday games just don't have the same potential for a full day out. I can see the Rosebine filling, and the members bar emptying.
On reflection, Quins have the most to loose from the TV fixture blight. Can you think of any other premiership ground where the facilities would encourage you to turn up early and leave late?

Not being there I don't know what was said about the Stoop, but I can think of a few things that would improve it (I am don't suffer from pigeons in my seat, so not on my list).
1. Sort the toilets
2. Tidy up the mess around the Quins Head
3. Add 1 or 2 permanent big screen(s), some other grounds have done that with a feed of whatever cameras are at matches.
All quite small really.

What came across for me, is that both seem to be genuine fans of both Quins & Rugby.
They are sympathetic to what the supporters probably expect/want, yet at the same time need to grow the club to a point where it is actually profitable.
A tricky balancing act I think...

I enjoyed the event and found that both Davids had a totally different attitude to the supporters. It was a definite move to the 21st century with what appeared to be a real interest in what the supporters want! We were even thanked for attending which was a first as well as having both the CEO and Chairman attending which was another first.
For those posting there is nothing wrong I think you are out of tune. The stadium and the surroundings are dirty (outside reception suffering from pigeons and fag ends), seating areas and I know John is tackling the dirty stadium. Saints is spotless. Bars David Ellis is looking into reducing waiting times ie longer bars and also different ways to pour pints for 4,000 more quickly. Catering is out of date and there is room for improvement why just burgers and bangers in the 21st century.
It will be evolution not revolution but on the whole I came away feeling v. positive. So thank you to Quinssa for arranging.

Both David's are very approachable but new into their jobs.
So they were both willing, as new brooms, to take credit for Quins form since they arrived (tongue in cheek) but wouldn't give much by way of details about future plans - other than setting out the aspirations to make the club the best in Europe and tell us they were definitely not considering any big development plans.
A positive evening and good of them both to give up their time. Roll on Europe.............

Agreed the Stoop is a little shabby in places, but I was careful in my previous post to say revenue generating improvements, i.e. things that will get you to part with more money.
I do enjoy the annual visit to Franklin's, but not for the fizzy keg beer in the freezing tent outside. The Quins head by way of contrast has at least some rudimentary heating, and the guest beers there have been outstanding lately. And I do arrive early for that..

Stench not specifically mentioned but meeting between CEO and Green King last week over how to improve and what money is available from GK - heating etc to be provided.
