HUge thanks to everyone who came along, it was our best attended dinner yet. Special thanks to the players and staff who came and to the Quins staff who helped it happen.

Are there any parties that DONT involve getting dressed up like 007 wannabies/Penguins? How about a barbie?

Bolly, the players were certainly not dressed up and very casual, shirt tails out, I think they thought it was a barbie! That said the nice thing about this particualr evening is anything goes.

Many... Meet the Players evenings, Meet the Mgt evenings. Introduction to the Academy, Evenings with Refs, Physios etc.etc etc.

Traditionally we arrange an annual summer party ( bbq's & boat parties on the Thames) however this year due to low level of bookings we were forced to cancel.

Not every bloke wore a dinner suit. The dress code was 'smart' and I can't believe that a man doesn't own either a suit or a smart pair of trousers and a jacket!

As for the state of the players' outfits - least said, soonest mended!

Having to wear a suit/trouser-blazer combo for 10 years at school, I vowed never to wear them unless completely necessary - I wore one for our wedding and that was the last time, 18 years ago.

I do have trousers, but no suit or jacket.

Safri-Q: I didnt notice the (?Quinssa?) Summer party this year, but had noticed it in the past, so I'll keep an eye out for it next year - I can help cater, for example. Perhaps I should join!

Thanks for the feedback - I'l keep my eyes open...
