Quins play Impala this weekend in a must win game against bitter rivals and neighbours Impala at home. Quins are in a pack of three teams on stuck on 25 points behind league leaders and defending Kenya Cup champions KCB RFC who are perched at the top of log. It’s all a mathematical contest for Quins, Nondies and Impala as they hope that KCB stumble and results go their way in the penultimate weekend of the Kenya Cup.

Quins last played a fortnight ago when Nondies derailed their grand march. The two-week break should have been ideal for them to regroup and seek wins in their last two games of the league. Only time will tell.

What makes tomorrows encounter even juicier is that it will be the first time Quins meet Impala ever since the two of the Simiyu brothers de-camped from Impala into the Quins camp. Impala have two pf the four brothers still on their payroll but who knows as it could be only a matter of time before the highly coveted Neto Simiyu (who is a now a full Kenya international) and baby brother Felix Simiyu also join their elder siblings. Nevertheless a clash of titans it will be as Impala will be determined to prove that their is life after Victor and Namcos while Quins will be looking to do the double over Impala his season. The seconds last weekend beat KCB seconds 16-14 in their ESS 1st leg semi-final contest. They gave a decent performance that pleased the sizeable crowd that watched their game. This weekend they travel to the Lions den for the second leg encounter. They have the spirit, the will, the determination and the commitment to pull of a victory at the den. Led by Cyrus Omondi who rarely gives less than a 200% performance, we wish them all the best. All the way lads!

As the club is very active this month, we request members to pay their subscriptions in order to help finance and support the activities of the club. June was indeed a busy month and in July, we shall be playing Mombasa RFC at the coast in an Enterprise Cup game quarterfinal game. Please support the efforts of the club.
