Disaster strikes, through a cock up all of my own making I lose two months of diary stories. This is even more embarassing given the nature of my work. Ed's diary - 2nd April 2004

Disaster has struck. In between changing contracts, laptops, etc. I've lost two months worth of diaries. Not good for an IT consultant! Initially I wondered if I could recreate them but in the end I have decided to just put together a piece covering what I can remember has happened in that period.

February saw a decent away victory at Leeds 9 - 16 followed by a thorough defeat at home to Leicester 9 - 22. We were also dumped out of the Powergen cup at the quarter final stage at Newcastle 24 -12. In March we've had two games, home and away to Bath. We've lost both narrowly, in our Saint Patricks game which was played in front of a record crowd of 20,840 we went down 20 - 21. Barry narrowly missed a DG attempt with the last kick of the game. At the Rec we lost 32 - 21 with Bath scoring a DG at the death.

We currently stand 6th in the table, equal on points with 7th place Quins who we play this weekend and one point behind Sale. A HC place is still within reach but it's by no means likely, it's going to be a tough run in.

The site is running 39% up on last year. We’ve just recorded our best ever month 291k hits.

Perhaps our best ever thread was Bisach’s ‘Virtual tour of Narbonne’. We went on this whilst the real tour was running. It amassed 350 hits in a few days. When the motley crew that are the denizens of the messageboard get going on one of these flights of fancy it is a joy to behold.
