So, after such a mixed season, how do you go about selecting the Player of the Season? Well fortunately, The Craic awards its Player of the Season award to the man who has earned the most Man of the Match awards from our post-match polls. Phew!
Clearly, injuries have had a major impact on who's been able to play and therefore, who's been eligible each week to receive the accolade from the Craic supporters. I'm sure the figures below may have been different if some of our squad hadn't been ruled out due to long term injuries. Whether this would have affected the final result though ...
Like last year, it's obviously been a team effort this. Of the 45 players eligible, First XV and Academy, only 5 of them never received a nomination and of those 5, well they only come off the bench 14 times between them so didn't really get the chance to shine. In fact Max Anderson and Ben Stevenson never even came on and James Tideswell made 10 of those 14 appearances from the bench, Robert Herring (1) Kieran Low (1) and Marcus Watson (2) being the others.

I'm surprised to see Hodgson only received two awards. With 18 winners from 33 games (32 regular season / cup games), maybe that shows how we all watch different parts of the game.
BTW, honorable mentions to Maps, Bob, Peter, Elvis and Ryan for their total number of appearances, starter or from the bench.
