Alex King Benefit Year Beer and Curry Menu

The amount of voluntary work that we have to put in to make sure you all enjoy yourselves! Some hardy souls visited the Clay Oven before Christmas to discuss the menu for the Alex King Benefit Dinner to be held on Tuesday 24th January 2006.

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN SERVING TIMES !!!!

After long discussion (and a dish of the vegetarian starter) we settled on the following two menus, one for Indian, one for Chinese:

Indian:

Starters, served at 8.00pm:

Amritsari Fish
Chicken Tikka
Lamb Chops (Craig Dowd’s favourite!)
Alu Papdi Chaat (V)
Punjabi Vegetable Samosa (V)

Mains, served at 9.00pm:

Karahi Chicken (Alex’s favourite)
Lamb Rogan Josh
Mixed Vegetable Jalfrezi (V)
Aloo Gobi (V)
Tarka Daal (V)
Mutter Pilau Rice (peas on top of rice, not mixed, in case someone doesn’t like peas!)

Naans
Parathas
Raitha
Green Salad

Dessert:

Fresh Fruit Salad and Ice Cream.

Chinese.

Starters, served at 8.00pm:

Sweet Corn and Vegetable Soup
Vegetables Manchurian in Sauce (V)
Fish Salt & Pepper
Chicken Lollipop

Mains, served at 9.00pm:

Sweet and Sour Vegetables (V)
Chicken Hong Kong
Vegetable Fried Rice (V)
I’m sure we could send a Daal or Aloo Gobi over if you fancy!)

Dessert:

Fresh Fruit Salad and Ice Cream.

Tickets are still available but we will need to close the books shortly in the New Year to finalise numbers with the restaurant.
