Wednesday 20th April 2005 starting at 7pm in the evening. THE Wasps event of the Year. Smart casual dress. Near Sudbury. What else do you need to know? Read the rest of the story for complete details. Get your order in early, though, as we are limited on how many people we can take.
Will Green’s Testimonial Beer and Curry Night
From 1900hrs to 2400hrs on Wednesday 20th April 2005 This event will be held at:
The Clay Oven Banqueting Suites, 197 Ealing Road, Wembley, Middlesex HA0 4LW - see www.streetmap.co.uk for map.
A venue capable of seating up to 500 people. There is plenty of parking adjacent for users of the suites, and Alperton tube on the Uxbridge branch of the Piccadilly Line is opposite. Hangar Lane on the Central Line is within walking distance (just over a mile, or, after an even shorter walk east down the A40, transfer to the Piccadilly line at Park Royal for one stop) as is Wembley Central. The 83 bus route connects with Wembley Stadium/Wembley Park/Ealing stations too.
Will wants this event to be one he shares with his friends at the Club over the years, and will welcome you to say thanks for the support you have given him since his first full season in 1996. Going back to a location near Sudbury should allow both old and new supporters to get to the evening, and bring back some memories.
Guests should arrive from 1900hrs when the bar will open. Seating for dinner will be 2000hrs precisely, as there will be plenty to get through, both in terms of food and “entertainment”!
There will be a full waiter service, banquet style meal with a menu chosen by Will Green himself, comprising starters, mains with rice, breads and side dishes, and dessert.
We have a stand-up comedian to entertain us after we finish eating, and following this Mr Peter Scrivener, who will be in attendance as the Master of Ceremonies, will auction a small number of lots for Will’s Testimonial Fund. There will also be a raffle on the night. We aim to finish the evening at midnight.
Cost of admission is £35 per ticket, no concessions.
Included in the cost of admission will be all the soft drinks you want, plus a generous amount of free beer. If this is all consumed, there are arrangements for a cash bar thereafter. Wines and spirits will also be available from the bar at additional cost.
Other members of the squad and staff may be in attendance as duties permit.
You should apply for tickets by email to:
Kevin(spamless)@(nospam)drunkenwasps.com
omitting the brackets and the words within them, stating clearly If the details required are not clear, your order might not be taken.
An invoice and full menu will be returned to you for prompt payment: your places will not be confirmed until payment is made.
Your payment must be cleared by Monday 21st March 2005 otherwise your places will be at risk – if we reach the limit set by the venue before then, it will be first-come, first-served.
Will looks forward to seeing many of you at this function, designed specifically for the supporters in the stands.
