Farewell Jimmy

Getting a win at the league leaders was always going to be a big ask and so it proved to be. Tigers ran out 20-10 winners to ensure they finished top of the table and in doing so confined Wasps to 9th place.

It will be a summer of strengthening a squad which will be withoput Jimmy Gopperth, who may have finished the day choosing his next dressing room hook at Welford Road. We wish him well.

His replacement is a bright young prospect from Falcons in the shape of 21-year-old Will Haydon-Wood who is an England Under-20 international. More experience will be provided by 33 year-old Munster and Ireland tight-head prop John Ryan.

Hopefully there will be more new faces.
