Lee Blackett's willingness to field so many up and coming players in the Premiership Cup up against an in-form Tigers won't have done them too much harm as they fronted up right across the pitch.
Tigers were 41-0 up through tries from Kini Murimurivalu, Callum Green, James Whitcombe, Hosea Saumaki and Guy Porter (2) before Ollie Hartley got oiur consolation.
Tigers got two more in the final minutes to make it 55-7 at the end.

Apologies for posting as an interloper, but if you do the exercise I think you'll be surprised by how close in terms of average age the two sides were. The Wasps forwards were actually, on average, older than their Leicester counterparts.

Each of the players who took part want to play for the first team, this is as close as you will get to that aspiration with out actually playing a premiership first team game.
You learn by your mistakes, you gain experience each time you play and hopefully learn and improve.
In our current injury crisis would you deny our first team time off to recover and some of those who played may well be asked to step up and they need as much game time as possible.

Leicester had significantly more players with first team experience on the park.

Yes, I did note that, however the initial observation remains valid. Leicester used the dead seasons to blood youngsters and still got top six last year. If Dolly and Steward had played the average age would have been even lower.
