The skipper's face says it at all. How on earth did a side packed with talent succumb to a Sharks side which had no less than four players in the bin? Normally only one yellow card opens the door but not at the Ricoh as Sharks joyously nicked a 20-19 win.

There's enough criticism of coaches, players etc. from justifiably concerned supporters on the message board. No more required here.

In this strange season this string of results, which we hoped had ended at Falcons last week, won't mean a geat deal -specially if we can use the remaining seven games to return to the kind of form we enjoyed up to that big home defeat by Quins at the end of January.

The buck stops wth Lee Blackett who told the media:" We should have been in a position midway through the second half where we were too far ahead for them to come back. But we allowed them to stay in the game.

"We shouldn't be lacking confidence, we know what qualities we have got. When guys are desperate to get back to winning, you start to get more nervous, and that's how we look at times."

All true and self-evident. What does Lee try next? Who is motivating the dressing room at 2.50 pm and 3.45 pm.? Who is influencing game managament on the pitch? There's no obvious signs that anybody is picking up those cudgels at the moment.

Wasps: Try - Fekitoa. Cons. Gopperth . Pens Gopperth 4.

Sharks: Tries - Van der Merwe, Beaumont. Cons - du Preez 2 Pen du Preez 2.

Joe was one of the only plus points - he worked tirelessly all game.

Hangover, there’s no doubting Launchbury is a key strength to the team but as captain he should shoulder responsibility for poor decision making in critical moments on the field yesterday.

My only criticism of Launch is that his players don't seem to be worried about messing up around him. He may have called for pens when a lineout should have been taken, but he is not the one giving away mindless penalties, kicking the ball away and constant brain f*rts.

However, 4 yellow cards over 22 minutes should have given Joe enough time to have told the team how they should be playing, rather than let it drift with repeated bad tactical decisions ?

I would think a set of backs (and lets be clear it was mainly them screwing up the possession) that included Gopps, Robbo, Fekitoa, Bassett, Kibirige and Minozzi would need that much telling from Joe how to play against 13/14 men. He can't play it for them !
