Newcastle Falcons marked their Gallagher Premiership return with a classic smash-and-grab at the Rec on Saturday, defying their underdog status to defeat Bath on their own patch.

Keeping the ball in hand and showing discipline by the lorry-load, last season’s unbeaten Championship title winners showed they are back in the big time with a performance to be proud of.

That was a structured, disciplined and gritty performance and I would certainly like to give credit to Nick Easter and the coaching staff.
Many teams will underestimate us this season to their cost.
I like the look of the Whole squad ,with Wilson, Welch ,Chick and many other quality players , still to join the party from the injury list and of course let us not forget our current Argentinian international, Orlando exciting times ahead for us.
I hope when we can return we do so in numbers .Our Club deserves it .
Take a bow all the players and staff. One swallow don't make a summer but structure, discipline and team work will pay us back in wins.
