Stranraer have pulled of a signing coup by securing the services of former Hamilton Academicals hitman Michael Moore.

The 21-year-old was Hamilton's top scorer last season, with 13 goals to his credit. Last week ago he was released by the Accies at his own request so he could take part in trials with Mansfield Town. Moore has been at Hamilton since September 1998, where he has made 88 appearances and scored 25 goals in the process (including one against Stranraer at Stair Park last November).

It is hoped that Moore will for a strong partnership with last season top-scorer Ian Harty, or new signing Paul Kerr from Cumnock. With Moore's addition to the squad, John Fallon might see himself more on the subs bench than he would like.

Moore is likely to make is Stranraer debut in today's BIG friendly against Clyde at Stair Park.
