After yet another postponed match will Stair Park be playable on Tuesday night for the league match against bottom side Cowdenbeath. A win for the Blues would stabilize their position in the top half of the division and also put Cowden closer to relegation.

Stranraer manager Billy McLaren is likely to be without midfielder Stephen Marshall, who is struggling with a thigh strain, as they attempt to stay in the promotion hunt. The Stair Park side's game against Stenhousemuir was postponed on Saturday. And McLaren said: "All the players were very keen to play on Saturday and they're feeling a bit famished ahead of this game now."

Injury Worries: Cowdenbeath are still without three first-team players as they face Stranraer and start to run out of games to avoid relegation. Midfielder Iain Mauchlen is still likely to be sidelined with a back injury, after missing Saturday's defeat against Raith Rovers, along with long-term casualties Hamish French and Willie Miller. Cowden boss Keith Wright was encouraged despite defeat by the league leaders. "We certainly produced a better performance against Raith Rovers than we had done in the midweek game against Hamilton, but this is another big game and we have to start winning games, starting from now," he said.

Club Connections

The only club connection is midfielder Michael (Mick) Oliver (formerly assistant manager at now defunct Clydebank) who played one game for Stranraer (season 85/86) having played for Cowdenbeath in season 1982/83.
