Paul Collingwood has joined his Durham teammate Steve Harmison in the England one-day squad for the Natwest series. Colly has not had the best of seasons with the bat so far - a century against Worcs being the notable exception.
Despite his mixed form with the bat Colly has had success with the ball, taking his first five wicket haul on his way to best ever figures of 8-98 against Somerset at Stockton.
Some of Colly's poor form may have been down to his move up the order to number three in championship games. Colly had wanted this in order to push his claim for an England test place ahead of the Ashes.
Gavin Hamilton and Kyle Coetzer will be seeing international action for Scotland in the ICC trophy which takes place in Ireland in July. Hamilton is on-loan to the Saltires at the moment 1after having further problems with his bowling. He had been seen as an all-rounder replacement for Colly during his absence with the England squad but is now playing only as a batsman for Scotland.
