Down by the Riverside prepares for the new season

The Down by the Riverside website is making a comeback with news of Durham Cricket Club ready for the new season and all it may hold. With Durham stars Paul Collingwood and Steve Harmison in South Africa with the England squad for the World Cup it seemed like a good time to bring this site back to life.

We will be looking forward to the new season and what it has in store for Durham. There will be new players to introduce and new teams to meet as Scotland make their debut in the National League at the Riverside on 4th May.

There is also the new 20 over competition imaginatively name the twenty20 cup which starts in June.

And of course there will (probably) be the North East's first test match...
