Rossi Finally Gives Up On Ferrari And Formula 1

Dale Calkins

MotoGP superstar Valentino Rossi has finally announced that he will not be making a venture into Formula 1. Despite several tests with Ferrari, the Italian has stated that he will not be racing for Ferrari or any other team for that matter. This is what Rossi had to say today about his future:

"I'll continue, at least for the time being, to race motorbikes. Testing with Ferrari was an amazing experience, but I've still not finished what I want to do with motorbikes. I'm still very motivated."

I say it is about damn time, Ferrari has been wasting far too much time with Valentino Rossi and now that they don't have to worry about him anymore, this should be a benefit. Rossi better be focusing on MotoGP this year, because right now he is all the way down in 8th position in the standings, unfamiliar territory for the 7-time World Champion.
