Alonso Will Never Race For Ferrari

Dale Calkins

Fernando Alonso has stated that he will likely never join Ferrari, as he does not believe they can give him a winning car. Alonso is under the impression that only Renault can win this year, and that only his future team McLaren, can win next year. This is what the 2005 World Champion had to say about the possibility of joining Ferrari:

"I don't see any future at Ferrari for me. To be honest I've never really been interested in that team at all. I want to race for a team that can win races and that is Renault this year, but McLaren next year."

Fernando may not want to race for Ferrari, but implying that Ferrari can not win races may indeed be quite far from the truth. He is stating this about the most successful racing team of all time and perhaps he should think twice before making such a bold statement.
