Schumacher Supports Rossi

Dale Calkins

Michael Schumacher believes that Valentino Rossi has what it takes to make it in Formula 1. Schumacher also doesn't think that Rossi's embarassing spin during testing at Valencia was really a big deal at all.

"You need to have talent to be successful in F1. I think it would be easier to go from two wheels to four. Someone like Valentino has the right feeling for two wheels so he should have a good feeling on four wheels too."

"I understand his mistake. When a driver goes out in the rain the tyres cool down immediately during the first lap. It is easy to spin off. It is like driving on ice if you're not pushing right away."
