Ferrari is set to extend their contract with tobacco brand Marlboro, despite tobacco ads in racing being illegal in Europe. This new deal will run until 2011 and is very odd, as by that time nearly all of the countries hosting a Grand Prix will pass an anti-tobacco sponsorhip law.

Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo announced the extension with Philip Morris who own Marlboro, at a dinner last night. The new deal will likely bring in about the same amount of money to the Scuderia, around 71 million Euros.
