After the disqualification of the BAR
Honda team from the San Marino Grand Prix and their subsequent two race
ban, Ferrari Team Principal Jean Todt had this to say.
"If you play, it all depends on the limit where you want to play and where you don't want to play. For them, they take a risk and you can get the cost of it, and that's what happened." Todt was careful not to pass judgment on the team and remained quite neutral, only saying that cheating should be met with punishment. "Whether the punishment was enough or not enough, I'm not going to comment on the decision that was taken. I don't like people to judge us, so I would feel uncomfortable to say that and then to judge them. All I will say is that Ferrari would never have got themselves into the situation where they have been." Jean Todt did not comment on the allegations that Ferrari have been cheating by doing quite a bit of testing. This was most likely because Ferrari is not cheating as they have not broken any rules. |
