Fernando Alonso has blasted Schumacher for his actions, yet at the same time, praised him for being the greatest. Alonso believes Michael is the most unsporting driver ever, but maintains that he is also probably the best. This is what the Spaniard had to say about Schumacher as a driver:

"Michael is the most unsporting driver F1 has ever seen. Zidane retired with more glory than Schumacher.

That doesn't mean he hasn't been the best driver, and fighting against him has been an honour and a pleasure.

I don't agree with Flavio. They haven't given the title to Schumacher already. It's true there have been a lot of decisions against some and in favour of other but that's it."

The The Tifosi might not want to hear it, but Fernando is quite right in many respects. Michael has done some very questionable things in the past, all to win of course, though still there have been moments when Schuamcher has acted in an unsportsmanlike fashion. This does not mean that he is the most unsporting driver of all time, rather that he does do things which are questionable and unfair. Now when it comes to Schumacher being the best ever, well I have no issues with Alonso on that one...

Fernando's boss Flavio Briatore, certainly believes that the FIA is fixing the Championship for Ferrari and Schumacher to win. Alonso however is much more sensible. He knows that both Ferrari and Renault have been targeted by the FIA for questionable things and that really he and Michael have had the same troubles with the sport's governing body. Things are not all well with the FIA, as Alonso points out and this true, it is acting somewhat questionably itself. Teams and driver just have to deal with this though, and Fernando knows this.

Agree or disagree with what Alonso has to say, but with regards to these statements, he is not too far off. Just when it comes to Michael Schumacher being the most unsporting racer of all time, this statement is certainly a bit off the mark.
