Having finished today's San Marino Grand Prix in 14th and 15th places, Jordan described themselves as being satisfied with the days work.

The team who are struggling with an underperforming chassis again got both cars to the end of a gruelling Grand Prix, eventually won in some style by Renault's Fernando Alonso.  Narain ending the day in 14th after a two stop race and Tiago in 15th, having stopped two more times than his team mate after picking up a puncture with eleven laps to go.

Jordan are looking forward to the introduction of the EJ15B later on in the season, however they can be pleased that their now three year old chassis is still able to lap one second faster than Minardi's new PS05.

Today's television coverage as usual concentrated on happenings towards the front of the field.  Yet again, it is difficult to tell how our drivers are handling the car as they suffer from a lack of coverage.  Oh how nice it would be to see a lap of Barcelona from the Jordan point of view.  I suppose that this perhaps is just one gripe about the coverage of F1 in the UK.

However.  Narain's race was steady and the car's pace is starting to come good.  He made a slight error in his second pit stop again unseen or just plain can't be botheredness from the TV coverage.

"This is the best race for me so far pace-wise." he said afterwards.  "I have made a decent start and I was able to keep close to the cars in front. I had a good first pit stop but I made a small mistake in the second one, which unfortunately cost me some time, and then I was on my own for the rest of the race. However it was a positive race for us as we were able to keep up with the Red Bull cars which is quite encouraging for the team."

"Four races and four finishes for me so I am quite pleased" commented Tiago.  "It was quite a difficult race as I suffered from a puncture near the end of the race. Finishing the race was positive for us but what is even better is that we were able to reduce the gap with the cars in front. Now when the cars are passing us they do not just disappear as they used to do it in the first three races but now we can follow them for a while. This is definitely an improvement for the team. "

Summing up, Trevor Carlin said: "We had quite a good race, where we showed a very good pace with Tiago and especially Narain hanging on to the Red Bull cars and Felipe Massa. Narain made a small mistake in the pit stop, which unfortunately did not allow us to take advantage of our speed. However, we are very pleased and encouraged the pace we had during the race. "

Silverstone is due to host a test session next week.  We understand however that Jordan will not be taking advantage of the facilities and as such, will not be attending the three day session.
