Talk on the internet suggest that Eddie Jordan has started talks with Toyota with respect to using their RAV series engine to power the EJ15 in 2005.
Grandprix.com suggests that the struggling Silverstone based team are eager to end their three year deal with their current engine supplier Ford. The American giants Cosworth Racing division promised that Jordan would receive the same spec engine as their works Jaguar engine. However three races in and the difference between the two teams is clear.
According to ITV-F1, Bernie Ecclestone is pushing for a deal as he wants "to ensure that Jordan is kept alive". Encouraging perhaps but whether this comes off is another thing. The Head of Engineering at Toyota is Mike Gascoigne. No love was lost when he left Jordan, taking half of the teams engineering staff with him.
