The European Grand Prix beckons and Jordan are as prepared as ever for the first race to be held in Germany this year. However, there are conflicting views within the team in respect to the potential of the EJ13 at the Nurburgring.

Gary Anderson is happy that there will be a better result than last year when team mates Fisichella and Takuma Sato collided at the first corner.  "It is quite demanding to get a good balance at this circuit as there are some quite long corners flowing into one another." He said. "We want to get ourselves back to scoring points, and we need to push pretty hard this weekend to achieve that."

Fisi has good and bad memories of the track.  Clearly, last year was one he wants to forget but in all of his races before Brazil, this was the race he was closest to winning.  In 1999, the headrest from his Benetton fell into the cockpit, disturbing his driving and forcing him off the road. "With our package at the moment it's probably a bit ambitious to hope for glory and I'm looking forward to the introduction of a new aerodynamic package next month. The car is not performing as consistently as I'd like and I always have to hope for cool or unusual conditions to see if we have a better chance." Said the Italian.  "I know the team is working hard to give me a quicker car and this is keeping me well focused on my job."

Ralph in a way has given himself a mid term assessment and feels that he's starting to get to grips with the car. "I can't believe half the season has passed by already. I've done eight races in F1 and am starting to feel comfortable with the car and know how to find the limits quickly at each track." He said.  "Just about every race is a new circuit for me so I'm still learning and hoping for results in the second half of the season. It's really important for me to score points regularly in the next few Grand Prix and I'm working hard with the team to make sure we're both in a position to do that."

The weather forecast for the race is at best "unpredictable"! The race may take on shades of Canada and Brazil with the prospect of a showery day in store for Sunday.  Hopefully this should be good as thus far, the EJ13 seems to perform better in the wet.
