There was more disappointment for Jordan Fans this weekend as another Grand Prix which started on a high ended with a double DNF. Jordan were hit by two Cosworth engine failures at the Canadian circuit. The first to succumb was Ralph Firman who's engine expired on lap 21 at the Casino Corner, then Fisichella who pitted on the same lap.  Fisi couldn't find first gear and was pushed away from his grid box as far as the Williams garage.  His brakes overheated and the Italian retired.

"I was having a great race but then I couldn't get first gear after the pit stop" said Fisi.  "I think it might be a problem with the gearbox. I worked with my engineer to get a good set-up and strategy and our pace was looking really good. I think it would have been easy to score points today, but unfortunately I stopped. I'm very disappointed.

Ralph started from the pit lane after deciding to change strategy after qualifying. "We decided to change the strategy to one stop and it seemed to be working out really well" he said.  "I'm not quite sure what caused the failure but the engineers are looking into it. I'm disappointed as it looks like we would have been able to score points today and it's a real shame for the team that I wasn't able to finish.

"We're disappointed obviously" said Gary Anderson. "I think we were doing a pretty reasonable job recovering from yesterday. Giancarlo had a problem with his gearbox and Ralph had an oil leak which caused an engine failure. I think we had the pace to score points in this race so it's a shame that both cars were forced to retire.

Jordan will not be testing at Silverstone this week.
