Giancarlo Fisichella will get to stand on the top step of the Formula One podium at Imola when he will be presented with the winners trophy from the Brazilian Grand Prix.

The result of the Brazilian Grand Prix was overturned in Paris last week when further information came to light showing that Fisichella was into his 56th lap.  The bizzare countback rule therefore went back to lap 54 where Fisichella led.  The result gave Fisi his first win in 110 attempts and Jordan's first race win since 1999.

McLaren and Jordan will swap trophies in Imola at 4pm on Thursday at the start of the San Marino Grand Prix Weekend.

"Thankfully Formula One is not like football, here you can see the replay and mistakes are recognised and the results changed,  I am happy for the win, I am happy that the FIA admitted their mistake. But the damage remains. I would have been the first Italian to win in 11 years and I was not able to stand on the top step of the podium. But it's still a win that will go down in Formula One history. And I got there in difficult conditions, in a car that is not a winning one." Said the Italian.

The teams thoughts now turn to the San Marino Grand Prix in full and the possibility of their second podium in only four days!  Surely a record!
