Add Jos to the list...

The Boss

It's known that a number of drivers have entered the fray for the now vacant seat at Jordan. Another new name has been added over the last week, that of Jos Verstappen.

The amiable Dutchman has been without a seat since he was sacked by the ailing Arrows team in favour of Heinz Harald Frentzen, a move which few doubt speeded the demise of the team.  Jos is known to be backed by some of the biggest companies in Holland and has an unrivaled fanbase, second only to that of Michael Schumacher.

In the business where sponsorship is all, Jos' name is a good bet for the second seat.  Jos himself has acknowledged that he has spoken to Jordan, however a number of drivers have also been in touch.  The seat is up to the highest bidder and if Jos can pile in the sponsorship money then the seat will be his.

Even so, the fanbase will be totally over the moon to see their favourite driver back in the saddle and would no doubt make a good sparing partner for Giancarlo Fisichella.

The EJ13 appears to be shaping up extremely well.  Giancarlo has gone on record to say that he's very happy and optimistic for 2003.  The Cosworth 03 is a very light engine and will suit the new chassis well.

All in all, I think we'll be in for a good years racing.
