Stories appearing on the web say that Eddie Jordan may swap Giancarlo Fisichella with Sauber's Nick Heidfeld in an attempt to appease sponsors DHL.

F1 Live speculated earlier today that the German sponsors are understood to want a German driver in the car otherwise their sponsorship may be reduced or even completely withdrawn.

The site speculated that ."Peter Sauber has only just picked up the option on Nicks services for 2003, however according to German publication, Auto Motor und Sport, as well as the RTL network, the plan being put in place at the moment is for Jordan to offer the services of Giancarlo Fisichella in return for Nick Heidfeld, appeasing his German sponsors, but losing the driver he welcomed back to the team so eagerly at the beginning of the year."

We contacted the team over the bizareness of this idea.  Jordan have dismissed this speculation as "nonsense".

Giancarlo is contracted to the team for next year as is Takuma Sato.  As far as we (Jordan Fans Online) are aware, the current driver line up will be in the EJ13 next year.
