Magilton To Make Changes

Town manager Jim Magilton says he will be making changes to Town’s training for next season.

Jim: “The first day back is always very important for everyone concerned with the playing side and particularly this year as it will be my first chance to speak to all the lads as a group, so on June 26, Bryan and myself will be sitting down with the players and setting out the guidelines on what we expect from them.

“If they buy into what we are selling - and they will - I can promise it will make them better players.

“We will be making changes to the way training is set out, some subtle, some more radical and there will be bits and pieces they have not seen before.

“They will be told on day one of our plans and I expect the players to hit the ground running from there. I can tell you they will be worked hard and put under pressure.

“There is no doubt that the squad underachieved last season and that is something that we have to put right this year and the lads will be made fully aware of that and knowing them as I do, they will react positively to the challenge.

“I have spoken to a few of them and they can't wait to get back. It's a new start for everyone - and an exciting one.”
