Klug On New Role

Town assistant manager Bryan Klug says the decision to step to first team coach as number 2 behind Jim Magilton was an easy one.

Bryan: “When Jim first approached me, I was happy to go with it straight away, we have a real respect for each other and since Jim arrived at the Club he has tried to play the game the way I have tried to encourage the youngsters to play.

“He plays his football with great ability and great passion and he will bring those qualities into management.

“From day one I was receptive to the idea of going with him because of those qualities. I did think he would be an outsider when he first approached me with the idea but there is no doubt he put together a convincing argument and he has won over the Board.

“The challenge came at the right time for me as well. It wasn't a job I was actively looking for, I'm happy to do whatever this Club wants me to do as long as I'm on the training field working with good young players but this is an opportunity that I will relish and give it 100 per cent.”
