De Vos To Captain

Town manager Jim Magilton has confirmed that Jason De Vos will captain the team for next season.

Jim: “Jason will be skipper for next season. He's an outstanding individual and will take over the armband.

“He is a leader in the dressing-room and is someone I have the utmost respect for.”

Jim has also confirmed that he will register as a player for next season but doubts he will play very often, adding: “I will also carry on playing but it will take a case of malaria sweeping the squad for me to get anywhere near the first-team.

“I'm one that believes that talk is cheap and it's actions that count and I want to be out on the pitch, showing the young players coming through what I want from them.

“The intention is for me to do that at reserve team games. I think it's important to coach our youngsters in match situations.”
