Hibs Remaining Quiet

Scottish Premier League side Hibernian are not commenting on reports suggesting that they gave Town permission to talk to Tony Mowbray.

Reports across the internet yesterday suggested that Hibs had allowed Town to speak Mowbray about the possibility of becoming Town’s next manager.

 

A spokesperson from Hibs said: “We refuse to be drawn on speculation about the manager and we will not make any comment on this matter until there is something definite to say.”

 

If Mowbray was to come to Town, the board would have to find somewhere in the region of £300,000 in compensation.

 

Town chairman David Sheepshanks and chief executive Derek Bowden were believed to be in London last night interviewing one of the candidates for the managers job.
