Young Ipswich Town striker Billy Clarke will be joining league one side Colchester United on-loan for a month.

The 18-year-old striker has been out of action until recently after dislocating his able playing for town’s reserve side against Portsmouth back in December.  

 

Town manager Joe Royle: “Billy will be going to Colchester for a month and it will be a good chance for him to get some first-team experience, it's just a month on loan and no more than that. Billy is very highly thought of here and it will be a good opportunity for him to get a run of games under his belt.”

 

Billy will be included in the Colchester squad for their game against Scunthorpe at the weekend.
