Gavin Out For Season

Ipswich Town midfielder Gavin Williams looks set to be out of action for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Williams has been out of action since Town’s 2-1 win against Norwich at the start of the month and he wont be in action again for Town this season

 

Town manager Joe Royle: “It is really bad news for us and Gavin. He had an exploratory operation on Wednesday and the surgeon has decided it is best to do a repair.

 

“There is bone bruising and cartilage damage, and at this stage of the season we are not going to take any risks.

 

“It rules him out for the rest of the season, which wasn't what we wanted to hear, but at least Danny Haynes and Scott Barron have trained and should be OK for the weekend.”
