Jay Back Next Month?

On-loan Blackburn Rovers defender Jay McEveley could be back playing for Town again by the middle of next month.

The 20-year-old defender joined Town on from premiership side Blackburn Rovers for the season but he returned to Ewood park after suffering knee ligament damage back in November.

 

Jay is well on his way to recovery and he hopes he could be playing again next month, Jay: “I did think that would be it for the year when I had surgery but everything's gone well, the gaffer wanted me to come back as soon as I was running again so I came down over the weekend and will be working with the physio staff here.

 

“I'm running okay now and hopefully in another couple of weeks I'll be back in full training. After that it will be a case of playing reserve team games to get my match fitness up.

 

“If things go according to plan, I should be available again by about the middle of March.”
