Joe Still After Loanee

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle says he will be making calls on Monday in an effort to find a loan partner for Alan Lee.

Town currently have four strikers out injured, Danny Haynes, Adam Proudlock, Nicky Forster and Sam Parkin leaving just Alan Lee as the only experienced striker currently fit at Portman Road and that is something Joe wants to sort out this week.

 

Joe: “I'll be making two calls on Monday to clubs because I'm still keen on bringing in a loan striker.

 

“I'll apologise in advance to the clubs because with our striker jinx, the players in question will probably do down injured now!

 

“It happened last week. I asked about a player in the morning and by the afternoon he was injured.”
