Forster To Have Surgery

Ipswich Town striker Nicky Forster will undergo an exploratory operation on Wednesday to try and resolve a persistent knee injury.

Forster has been out action since the turn of the year with the injury and it was hoped that he would be able to avoid any surgery and perhaps even player against Leeds tomorrow night but it now appears that is not the case.

 

Town manager Joe Royle: “Fozzie will have an operation on Wednesday. It's a relapse rather than a breakdown, it’s not terribly bad but it's not right. Whatever it is that is wrong hasn't shown up on scans and we have to find out what is causing the problem so the surgeon is going to have a closer look.”
