Legendry rockers the Red Hot Chili Peppers are reportedly one of two acts being lined up to play at Portman Road in the summer.

Nothing has been officially confirmed by the club as yet but it is believed that talks are ongoing between Town and The Chili’s but STB has been informed that transport for the gig has been arranged for some time in June.

 

A spokesperson for the club has been quoted as saying: “We're talking to a number of groups and their representatives but there is no announcement forthcoming just yet, we're hoping to stage at least one major concert in the summer with the possibility of another. Negotiations are ongoing.”

 

Elton john, REM and Neil Diamond have all had concerts at Portman Road in recent years and Singing The Blues reported way back in 2004 that Bon Jovi may also be appearing at Portman Road in the summer.
