Marcus Completes Switch

Former Ipswich Town striker Marcus Bent has completed his move from Everton to Charlton Athletic.

The deal is worth an initial £2million to Everton and it could rise as high as £2.5million and Town are due 10% of anything over the £450,000 that the Toffees paid for the striker in 2004.

 

In total Town could land £205,000 from this move but will have to settle with around £155,000, the destination for this money is as yet unclear, it may go towards Joe Royle’s transfer funds or servicing the clubs debt.
