Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle says his Christmas wish is no injuries to his players for the second half of the season.

Joe: “My Christmas wish is please, no injuries for the second half of the season and then we can really see what we've got, if you told me a while back that we would be six points short of the Play-Offs at this stage bearing in mind the injuries and problems we have had then I would be absolutely delighted.

 

“If you told me that we would be around the likes of Norwich, Crystal Palace and Wolves in the Championship table then I'd be delighted.

 

“What we couldn't have anticipated is that Reading and Sheffield United have run away with the League as much as they have but that leaves a bucket load of points further down the division for the other clubs to fight for to make the Play-Offs

 

“Let's get a side out there that we can field for three games in a row and see what happens because I don't believe we are that far away.

 

“If we'd had everyone fit I'm sure we would be a team six points better off than we are now and that would make us a Play-Off side.”
