Holloway Backing For Joe

Queens Park Rangers manager Ian Holloway has defended Town manager Joe Royle who took flack on BBC Radio Suffolk’s post match phone in.

Some Town fans have been calling for Joe’s head pretty much all season due to less than perfect results which have left Town 17th in the league 8 points off the play-off places and just 7 above the relegation zone.

 

Holloway: Joe is one of the nicest men in football. When I get down from time to time, I look at that man and think some parts of this football game are warped and twisted - even corrupt - but, for us footballers, Joe is someone you want to play for.

 

“He is honest, straight and absolutely fantastic. This club is a beautiful place and, for me to take four points out of six from Ipswich this year, makes me quite chuffed.”
