Wilnis Disappointed

Ipswich Town defender Fabian Wilnis feels it is an injustice has been done against him after the red card he picked up against Cardiff was not over turned.

Wilnis was dismissed after 12 minutes in Monday nights game against the bluebirds after he fouled Cardiff striker Cameron Jerome.

Wilnis: “It is an injustice.

“The referee has blundered twice. First, he has given a penalty when he should have booked the lad for diving and then he sent me off, when it was not a goalscoring opportunity.

“It is quite clear on the tape so I don't understand how they could not uphold the appeal.

“What do the authorities want to do - encourage diving?

“I'm very upset and disappointed about it but that is it, there is no more I can do. I will just have to sit out the game and be ready for the week after against QPR.”
