Kev After A Goal

Ipswich Town midfielder Kevin Horlock is hoping to end a run of 55 games with out a goal since joining Town sooner rather than later.

The 32-year-old joined Town on a free transfer in 2004 and is yet to find the net and with his contract expiring in the summer he wants to find the net soon.

Horlock: "To be honest it's starting to play on my mind.

“I've never failed to score for any of my previous clubs and, with my contract up in the summer, I'd absolutely hate to buck that trend now. I'm more of a holding midfielder these days but I'm still hopeful that I'll get one soon.

“Realistically, I feel my best chance will be from a free-kick - I've hit the woodwork before - but there's always a chance I'll pop up in the box."

“I would love to stay because it's a great club with a very exciting future, given that so many young up-and-coming players are emerging through the ranks. I firmly believe that the fans have got lots to look forward to.”
