Ipswich Town have confirmed that they will appeal against Richard Naylor’s sending off against Millwall earlier today.

Naylor was dismissed with 14 minutes remaining against the Lions earlier today for a foul he feels he did not commit on Barry Hayles.

Town manager Joe Royle: “We have looked at the video and we will be making an appeal.

“I have told the referee and a report will be sent to the FA for Monday.

“I expect they will look at the video next week but all being well, we should have Bam Bam available for the Preston game.”

Naylor protested his innocence adding: “There was no contact.

“I think the referee has agreed to look at the incident on tape and hopefully it will be rescinded.”
