Naylor To Start In Defence

Town manager Joe Royle has confirmed that Richard Naylor will start in defence for Town against Millwall tomorrow afternoon.

The 28-year-old defender finished Town’s game against Yeovil up front alongside Dean McDonald and Dean Bowditch, but he will start at the back tomorrow.

 

Royle: “Bam Bam will be at the back for us.

 

“I can't guarantee he will finish in that position but he will certainly start in defence.

 

“I see Richard as a centre-half who can play up front in an emergency, rather than a centre-forward who is operating in defence.

 

“We still hope to have Sam available but even if he doesn't play, Bam Bam will be at the back. We need his experience there.”
