Parkin Fit For Weekend?

Ipswich Town striker Sam Parkin could be able to play for Town’s against Millwall at the new Den on Saturday.

Parkin missed Town’s matches with Sheffield Wednesday and Yeovil because of a large cut in his head which required 20 stitches, but the stitches have now been removed and he may be able to play with a special pad on his head.

Town manager Joe Royle: “Our medical people will look at Sam and he could play with a pad, but we will be guided by the experts.

“The last thing we want is for him to play and the wound to open up again. We might be talking about plastic surgery then

“There are strict rules in place these days, so we can't have blood-splattered heroes any more.”
