Charlton Athletic defender Mark Fish will not be completing his loan month at Town after he decided to retire from football. The 31-year-old joined Town as cover for the injured Jason De Vos but only lasted 45 minutes of football because of a lack of match fitness and was sent back to Charlton to work on his fitness but he instead has decided to call it a day because of a knee injury.
Fish: “I can no longer play to the standards I have set myself and therefore I feel it is time to move on.”
