Royle Aims For Play-Offs

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle has set his sights on the play-offs for Town this season, despite having a thin squad.

Royle: “I'm looking forward to the season but it's a little bit up in the air, we've lost six or seven players over the summer and brought one or two in and have the emergence of one or two kids who have come through, to add to that we still want one or two more players, so we are not the finished product by any means.

 

“I think that if we can use the play-offs as an initial target, and hopefully if things are going better than that, then we can reassess our targets at Christmas.”
