Jim To Avoid Ban

Ipswich Town skipper Jim Magilton looks likely to avoid a three match ban following his sending off against Ujpest in Town’s pre-season tour of Hungary.

The Town midfielder was sent off with 5 minutes to go in Towns 3-2 defeat against Ujpest last month following a bust with Ujpest striker Peter Rajezi, but it appears the referee left the incident out of his report so Jim will avoid any ban.

 

Town manager Joe Royle: “It is a big boost to have Jim available. His influence cannot be under estimated.

 

“We have not heard anything and it is unlikely although not impossible that we will after so long.”
