5PM Press Conference

Ipswich Town have announced they will be holding a press conference at the Portman road media suite at 5pm today.

Town manager Joe Royle, Chairman David Sheepshanks and Chief executive Derek Bowden will all be in attendance and if reports on the internet are true so will be Reading striker Nicky Forster who is expected to be unveiled as Towns first summer signing.

 

Sam Parkin may also be there if talks which are going on today lead to the 24-year-old signing a contract, Parkin has said: “As far as I know I am speaking to Ipswich Town today.

 

“I am obviously keen to hear what the interested parties have to say. I’m sure the clubs who have made offers will have questions of me as well.

 

“I do have ambitions in the game and I want to go to a club that is going to challenge in the Championship. I want to be part of a progressive club, a club on the up.”
